Well muzzleloader season has come and gone. Hopeing that the big g-2 buck was still around, I went down to the back fence line where I,d gotten pics of him earlier this year. because of my work I could only hunt the last day { tuesday} my pics from there told me I had deer in the field starting around 4:00 p.m. till last lite. I got in the stand about 2:30, but on my way down I saw 5 does go over the hill past the fence, yea, they saw me. About a hour and a half later I watched as 6 does came up from one of side hollows in my woods to my left, they dropped over the hill into the big hollow. Then about 4:45 deer started moving up the hill behind my stand, I watched as 9 does and this small buck one by one came out into the field. I sat with my muzzleloader across my lap and watched till they all had moved on. I lost count to all the broad side shoots I had, most at 50 yds and a few as close as 20 feet. This little buck sure kept them moving all the while. I just stayed still and kept hopeing something big would step out, but it was not to be on this day. My heart was sit on one of the big ones I ,ve gotten pics of this year. But I sure have enjoyed all the great pics you guys have been posting and all the great bucks you all been taking this year.............Peeker !!

Don't blame you for letting the little guy walk, he might grow up to be a giant someday! Sorry to here about your season though....ours did'nt turn out any better seemed like there was always something interfering with our hunting this year. We also had plenty of opportunities to harvest deer, several bucks showed thierselfs to us but just not the one we realy wanted to take. We should have taken a couple more does though, one in the freezer just does'nt last long around here. Maybe next season will be better.
