Starting off as I was walking into the woods I heard this buck fighting with another buck. I tried to get in front of them to cut them off but was not successful. I moved again to try to get in front of one of them and sat down along a fenceline going through the woods up against a stump overlooking a ravine. Not 2 minutes passed and I saw the buck across the ravine running a doe. I used a bleat can and they both came down the ravine 15 yards in front of me. The doe jumped the fence and I stopped the buck by making a snort sound. I dropped him with one shot from my Winchester 12 Gauge Shotgun. The doe was standing not 10 yards from the buck and I pulled my gun over and dropped her as well, getting two big bodied deer in less than 3 seconds. To me that is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
