Congrats. What WMU did you take this monster buck in. Great mount and I like the unique qualities that this deer has. What are some of the tine lengths and mass measurements. Also what did this deer dress out at.

Thank you for the kind compliment A.B. Brian Dobson did the mount and I hunted in area 508, the deer dressed out at 264lbs and had only 4 teeth left. The main beams where both 24 7/8 ....G2s where 13 5/8 and 12 1/8....G3s where 9 3/8 and 9 6/8 ...the drop tine was 8 5/8 ... inside spread a staggering 11 4/8 LOL ....both bases where both over 6in ... you will be able to read the story this November in Rack magazine ...

Hey DD,thats one hefty looking buck! I just love canadian whitetails. Can't wait to read about it in Rack. P.S.-check out my gallery of northern deer, my 2 biggest were in Dec 2004 Rack magazine.

I've heard of dorry lake, and I think it's near keeley lake but I'm not sure. Keeley lake is a 5 hour ride from saskatoon, its on the western side just south of the provinces "bombing range"

Spy that was my first hunt and I took a LARGE bodied buck but a small rack for Canadian standards ... I was fooled by the body size plus it was a warm winter and the big boys did not move while I was there ...

I have found that the fourth week in Nov. is the best week for big bucks roaming the bush looking for does. Just because its the last week in the season dosen't mean all the bucks are gone. Some people think you have to be there first but thats not the case as we both know.
