Sad but true....the shed season has come to an end. I lost count of this years haul, but it should be around 200.

so you have sometime to mold them in to trophy hunters. my daughter always said she wanted to go but now she can and does'nt want to. kinda dissapointing. guess i have to wait about 2 or 3 more years for my son to go with me.

So sorry to hear that man, get junior accustomed to a little blood and alot of fun afterwards....I wish you the best on that!! I think that a kill is secondary, the fun and commradery that happens next is the most important part of hunting. Get all your friends, have them come over and tell you how wonderfull your prize is....high fives all around the campfire....these are things your little guy, and girl, will associate with a kill, not just a dead animal.

Agree with wily. Make it the experience. When I took up bow hunting it changed everything for me. I see so much more of nature. Things I never saw rifle hunting. Killing is second to me.

he loves being out in the woods and exploring. he goes squirrel hunting with me. loves looking for deer when we're out in the woods.he loves going to the cabin with me and my buddies. he tells me he can't wait to go hunting with me. my daughter still likes going out with me just said she just does'nt want to shot anything. i'm cool with that. she's the first on i call when i get a deer and she always wants to see it. my dad was'nt much of a hunter he was more into the beer. not me it's all about hunting , memories and the great stories that are told. i can't wait to make some with my little guy.

Looks like you and the boys were very successful this year, great job congrats on all your finds. How are things looking for you this season, already have him picked out or is it too early to tell yet?

Usually I do have him targeted by now, but I think I have become a little picky as of late. We'll see though. 200 or zip!
